Having painted a number of units I spotted some lovely warm weather perfect for drying glue and decided that it was time to Flock Enmassse.
Nothing rocket science about this - pva glue applied to part of the base, then sprinkled in flock (twice if need be) and left in the sun to dry. Once dry (I gave it a good 24hrs, I've gone wrong with this before!) I used a soft brush to tap the bottom of the bases and brush excess off the top, and done!
There was more men than I anticipated and it took quite a while for each step. I wasn't sure whether to go heavy on the flock and cover most of the base, but my son said lighter was better and looking back i think he was right. The job was made longer by the movement trays they are mostly on which needed to be done separately, plus the arrow supply markers (20 of).
Now I've just got to be brave enough to attempt the flags. Oh and two units of heavy horse and a billman unit await painting. Plus the King still. Blast.
